At Strathcona Physical Therapy, our team brings together experienced healthcare professionals with a shared commitment to individualized, evidence-informed care.
With more than 60 years of history in physiotherapy and rehabilitation in Edmonton, our clinic has grown to include physiotherapy, massage therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and dietitian services. Each member of our team brings their own areas of training and clinical experience to help patients receive care that is appropriate for their individual needs and goals.

Noman Anwari, MScPT, BSc (Hons)

Noman Anwari holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology from York University. His background in clinical and genetic research has contributed to his strong interest in evidence-informed, individualized rehabilitation.
Noman has extensive experience treating musculoskeletal injuries and complex conditions, with particular clinical interests in TMJ/TMD and orofacial pain, vestibular dysfunction and dizziness, concussion, scoliosis, and orthopaedic and sports rehabilitation. He has completed advanced vestibular rehabilitation training through Duke University and is certified in Schroth therapy for scoliosis and advanced dry needling/IMS. He has also completed advanced training in TMD/jaw rehabilitation, concussion management, manual therapy, spinal manipulation, and chronic pain management.
Noman works collaboratively with the Oral Medicine team at the University of Alberta in the management of complex TMD, neck, and orofacial conditions. His treatment approach combines hands-on therapy with progressive exercise, strength and movement retraining, education, and active self-management, with treatment tailored to each patient’s goals and functional needs.
Outside the clinic, Noman enjoys staying active through soccer, hiking, fitness training, and calisthenics, and values continued learning and involvement in the Edmonton community.
Gerald Gosselin, MRSc, BScPT
Registered Physiotherapist

Gerald holds a Master of Rehabilitation Science from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta.
Gerald brings extensive postgraduate training in Functional Dry Needling, manual spinal therapy, acupuncture, sports trauma management, and sports nutrition. His background in sports and performance rehabilitation is extensive, including approximately two decades as Head Physical Therapist with various Cirque du Soleil touring productions, where he travelled internationally providing physiotherapy care to high-level performers. He previously served as Head Trainer for the University of Alberta women’s soccer team.
Gerald combines his extensive clinical and performance experience with an individualized approach to musculoskeletal, sports, and orthopaedic rehabilitation, helping patients restore movement, build physical capacity, and return to the activities that matter to them.
Gerald is fluent in both English and French. Outside the clinic, he enjoys travelling and spending time with his family.
Ed Steinbring, BScPT

Ed graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1980. He joined Strathcona Physical Therapy in 1983 and became a partner in 1984, giving him more than four decades of clinical experience at the clinic.
Throughout his career, Ed has developed particular experience in TMJ/TMD and orofacial conditions, orthopaedic and sports injuries, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. He has completed postgraduate training in TMJ/TMD rehabilitation, acupuncture, sports injury rehabilitation, and manipulative therapy.
Alongside his clinical practice, Ed has been involved in education at the University of Alberta as an Associate Clinical Professor with the Faculties of Medicine & Dentistry and Rehabilitation Medicine, contributing his clinical experience to the education of future healthcare professionals.
Outside the clinic, Ed has a longstanding interest in endurance sport and has competed in numerous triathlons, including half-Ironman and Ironman events and international championship competitions.
Carly Frances McKay, MScPT
Registered Physiotherapist

Carly earned her Master of Physical Therapy from McMaster University in 2020 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Queen’s University in 2017.
Carly has pursued additional training in pelvic health physiotherapy, cancer rehabilitation, dry needling, and acupuncture. She works with a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions and takes an individualized, evidence-informed approach that combines education, hands-on treatment, and progressive therapeutic exercise to help patients improve function and work toward their personal goals.
Her interest in movement and rehabilitation developed through an extensive background in ballet. Growing up in St. Albert, Carly trained at leading institutions in Canada and the United States, including Canada’s National Ballet School and The Juilliard School. This experience gave her a strong appreciation for movement, physical performance, and the demands placed on the body through sport and activity.
Outside the clinic, Carly enjoys Pilates, yoga, fitness classes, exploring Edmonton’s cafés and restaurants, and spending time in the river valley.
Jennifer Poon, MScPT, BSc
Registered Physiotherapist

Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta after completing a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with Distinction.
Jennifer works with patients across a wide range of ages and musculoskeletal concerns, with a particular clinical interest in pelvic health and individualized rehabilitation. Her approach combines therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, education, and progressive movement to address each patient’s specific needs and functional goals.
She places a strong emphasis on helping patients understand their condition and become active participants in their recovery. By developing practical and individualized treatment plans, Jennifer aims to improve function while giving patients the knowledge and strategies needed to confidently manage their health over the long term.
Outside the clinic, Jennifer enjoys staying active through boxing, dance, and weight training. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring Edmonton’s food scene.
Louise Laine Bravo
Registered Physiotherapist

Louise is a Registered Physiotherapist with more than eight years of clinical experience, including extensive hospital-based practice. Her background includes acute care, post-surgical rehabilitation, and the management of a wide range of musculoskeletal and injury-related conditions.
Her hospital experience has given her a strong foundation in managing complex presentations and guiding patients safely through different stages of recovery. Louise combines hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, and patient education, tailoring treatment to each person’s needs, goals, and level of function.
A lifelong athlete with a background in soccer and ultimate frisbee, Louise has a strong appreciation for movement, recovery, and injury prevention. She emphasizes active rehabilitation and helping patients understand their condition so they can build confidence, improve function, and stay active over the long term.
Louise is fluent in English and Tagalog. Outside the clinic, she enjoys crochet, embroidery, baking, and staying active.
Occupational Therapy
Jenny, MScOT, BA (Psych)
Registered Occupational Therapist

Jenny is a Registered Occupational Therapist who earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2017, following a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from MacEwan University in 2012. Her approach is trauma-informed, holistic, culturally sensitive, and neurodiversity-affirming.
Jenny has extensive experience supporting individuals with trauma, anxiety, depression, sensory processing challenges, and complex mental health needs. Her occupational therapy approach focuses on helping clients improve emotional regulation, daily functioning, and participation in meaningful areas of life, including self-care, work, relationships, and leisure.
She integrates both body-based and cognitive approaches into treatment and has advanced training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Brainspotting, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioural Activation. Jenny became Master-level certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy in 2024 and has previous experience working within a psychedelic-assisted trauma therapy outpatient program.
Outside the clinic, Jenny enjoys dancing, music, meditation, travel, nature, exploring new cafés, and discovering different cuisines.
Psychology
Justin Long, M.C.P.
Registered Psychologist

Justin is a Registered Psychologist with more than a decade of experience in mental health and counselling. He holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta.
Justin works with adults experiencing trauma and PTSD, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health concerns. His approach is individualized and draws from a range of evidence-informed therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and existential-humanistic approaches.
Justin has a particular interest in the relationship between psychological health and persistent pain. His training in chronic pain management includes Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET). He has also completed advanced training in EMDR and incorporates Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy into his practice when appropriate.
In addition to his clinical work, Justin has experience in post-secondary education, professional speaking, writing, and community initiatives related to mental health, chronic pain, and youth support.
Massage Therapy
Flora Abtahi, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Flora is a Registered Massage Therapist with a strong background in rehabilitation and patient care. She began her healthcare career as a Physiotherapy Assistant, spending four years in clinical rehabilitation helping patients recover from injury, improve mobility, and restore function.
Her interest in hands-on treatment led her to pursue massage therapy, completing the 3,000-hour Registered Massage Therapy program at MaKami College. With more than four years of experience as an RMT, Flora combines her rehabilitation background with individualized massage therapy to address each client’s needs and goals.
Flora uses a range of manual therapy techniques, including Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Therapy, with a particular clinical interest in chronic neck and shoulder pain, tension headaches, postural and movement-related concerns, and soft tissue injuries. Her treatments are tailored to help reduce pain and muscle tension, improve mobility, and support recovery and physical function.
Dietetics & Nutrition
Min Chen, RD, PhD
Registered Dietitian

Min Chen is a Registered Dietitian with more than 15 years of clinical experience in Edmonton and over two decades of experience in nutrition. She holds a PhD in Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Alberta, as well as a Master’s degree in Biochemistry and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Nutrition with Distinction from Zhejiang University.
Min has extensive experience supporting individuals with a wide range of nutritional and health concerns, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, and digestive conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and celiac disease. At Strathcona Physical Therapy, her practice focuses primarily on adult nutrition and helping patients make meaningful, sustainable changes to support their health.
Her research background includes studying the effects of dietary fats on cardiovascular risk and the role of vitamin A in diabetes-related eye conditions. She combines this scientific background with a practical, individualized approach to nutrition.
Min believes healthy eating should be realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable. Rather than relying on restrictive or one-size-fits-all plans, she works with patients to develop nutrition strategies that fit their health needs, lifestyle, preferences, and long-term goals.
Outside the clinic, Min enjoys walking and cycling with her family, trying new recipes, and reading.

Colette Gaultois
Office Manager
Colette has been part of Strathcona Physical Therapy for more than a decade, beginning part-time before becoming our Office Manager. She enjoys building positive relationships with patients and team members and helping create a welcoming experience at the clinic.
Outside of work, Colette enjoys camping, walking, reading, and spending time with her daughter, family, and friends.
Anne Xie
Physiotherapy Assistant
Anne supports our physiotherapists with patient care and helps maintain a welcoming and organized clinic environment. She is currently studying Honours Physiology at the University of Alberta and has a strong interest in healthcare.
Outside the clinic, Anne enjoys swimming, painting, and creating art.
Rachel Busch
Administrative Assistant
Rachel is part of our administrative team and brings a strong background in customer service. She helps patients with scheduling and day-to-day clinic needs while contributing to a friendly and organized front-desk experience.
Outside the clinic, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends and with her two cats, Pepper and Paprika.
Jessica Bratina
Administrative Assistant
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Certificate in Medical Office Administration from MacEwan University. Her background in healthcare administration helps support an organized, professional, and welcoming experience for our patients and clinical team.
Outside the clinic, Jessica enjoys Zumba, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with her cat, Morty.
