Meet our Occupational Therapist
Jenny, MScOT, BA (Psych)
Registered Occupational Therapist
Jenny is a Registered Occupational Therapist who earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2017, following a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from MacEwan University in 2012. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed, holistic, and culturally sensitive care. She embraces a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming perspective, drawing from both Eastern and Western philosophies to support clients in enhancing quality of life and functional independence across self-care, productivity, and leisure.
Jenny has extensive experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and sensory processing challenges. Her practice integrates somatic (body-based) and cognitive-behavioral techniques to meet each client’s unique needs. She is trained in a variety of modalities including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Brainspotting (BSP), Root-Cause Therapy (RCT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Behavioral Activation (BA). Her work emphasizes nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and restoring balance in daily routines.
Jenny previously worked in a psychedelic-assisted trauma therapy outpatient program and became Master-level certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) in 2024 to deepen her trauma-focused care. She remains committed to lifelong learning and values collaboration, innovation, and continued professional development.
Outside of her clinical work, Jenny enjoys dancing, music, meditation, travel, and nature. She finds joy in exploring new cafés, diverse cuisines, and practices that support holistic healing, creative expression, and intentional living.

Integrative Therapies Offered
Our Occupational Therapy services incorporate a range of evidence-based and somatic (body-based) therapies to support emotional healing, trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, and improved daily function. These approaches are grounded in current neuroscience and are tailored to meet each client’s unique goals and comfort level.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)
ART is an evidence-based, trauma-focused psychotherapy that uses rapid eye movements and guided visualization to help the brain reprocess distressing memories. Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART does not require retelling the full traumatic story, making it a gentle yet effective option for individuals with trauma, anxiety, or grief. Research has shown ART can significantly reduce symptoms in as few as 1–5 sessions (Kip et al., 2012).
Brainspotting (BSP)
Brainspotting is a neuroexperiential therapy that helps identify, process, and release emotional and somatic pain that is stored in the subcortical brain. It uses eye position linked to brain activity to access deeper emotional states and unresolved trauma. Often described as “where you look affects how you feel,” BSP allows for profound healing through a quiet, attuned process that supports both emotional release and nervous system regulation.
Root-Cause Therapy (RCT)
RCT is a trauma-informed, integrative modality that combines conscious dialogue with guided emotional processing to address the root causes of emotional patterns, limiting beliefs, and self-sabotaging behaviours. By accessing both cognitive insight and somatic awareness, RCT helps clients shift deeply held patterns that affect their functioning and self-worth.
Blended CBT-Based Strategies
We also draw from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and related evidence-based approaches to support daily function, mood, and emotional regulation. These include:
Exposure therapy – Gradual exposure to feared stimuli or avoided situations to reduce anxiety
Mindfulness practices – Enhancing present-moment awareness to manage stress and emotions
Behavioral Activation (BA) – Increasing engagement in meaningful, rewarding activities to lift mood and reduce avoidance
Emotional regulation skills – Teaching tools to manage distress, build tolerance, and respond more effectively to emotional challenges
These therapies are thoughtfully integrated into your Occupational Therapy sessions to support your recovery, resilience, and daily life goals—always delivered with care, respect, and collaboration.
Whether you're looking to restore balance, build new routines, or reconnect with yourself, we are here to guide your journey with compassion and expertise.
